Mentor: Drs. John Keaney and Shashi Kant

In 2022 joined the labs of Drs. Keaney and Kant. I received my Ph.D. in biochemistry from Oxford University in 2000. During my PhD I studied lentiviral accessory genes and developed lentiviral vectors. I have worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital, McLean Hospital (Belmont) and Boston University. These works included the development of gene and cell therapeutic approaches for type I diabetes and Parkinson’s disease, and studies into skeletal muscle cell fusions and disease mechanisms of congenital muscular dystrophy. Now I am studying the role of several genes in atherosclerosis using mouse genetic models.
