Mentor: Drs. Guo-ping Shi and Jun-li Guo
Shuya Zhang is a post-doctoral fellow in lab of Dr. Guo-Ping Shi. She completed her Master’s degree in Cardiovascular Research in 2020 at Hainan Medical University under Dr. Junli Guo. During this time, she acquired considerable experience in the field of various techniques such as in vitro cell culture, DNA and RNA experiments, genetic engineering, and experimental mouse models. Currently her research focuses on cathepsins and inflammatory cells in cardiovascular diseases including atherosclerosis, abdominal aortic aneurysm(AAA), myocardial infarction, myocardial hypertrophy, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, and associated allergic asthma.
