Mentor: Dr. Peter Libby

I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow at BWH and HMS. I obtained my PhD in Bioscience from the Rio de Janeiro State University, Brazil, in 2013. From 2013 to 2020 I worked as a Research Fellow at Hospital de ClĂnicas de Porto Alegre, with a focus on experimental studies in cardiac hypertrophy and heart remodeling. In addition, I started to investigate the use of nanotechnology for targeting delivery of drugs to the heart. In September of 2020, I joined Dr. Libby’s lab where I started working with nanotechnology for atherosclerosis theranosis.
