Mentors: Dr. John F Keaney and Dr. Shashi Kant

I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. I obtained my PhD degree from the Department of Molecular and Cellular Physiology at LSU Health-Shreveport in May 2022. My PhD project focused on the structure and function of the endothelial glycocalyx in the retinal microvasculature. I joined Dr. Keaney’s lab in May 2022, where I aim to use genetic models to study endothelial stress signaling involved in atherosclerosis and hind limb ischemia. In addition to bench work, I enjoy science communication and am currently an AHA early career blogger.
