Mentor: Dr. Rajat Gupta

Deepak Atri is a clinical and research fellow in cardiovascular medicine at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and the Broad Institute of MIT & Harvard. Deepak received his MD cum laude at Yale School of Medicine, where he was a research fellow of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Before joining BWH, Deepak completed his medicine residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. In 2020, Deepak joined the laboratory of Rajat Gupta, where he has focused on the identification of novel coronary artery disease mechanisms predicated on genome-wide association studies. He has developed expertise in CRISPR genome editing and epigenetic regulation in vascular cell types.
