Mentor: Dr. Rajat Gupta

Vivian Lee received her Bachelor of Science from University of Washington in 2011 before obtaining her PhD in Developmental, Regenerative, and Stem Cell Biology at Washington University in St. Louis in 2018. Her thesis work in Dr. Robert Mecham’s lab focused on identification and validation of the lysyl oxidase as a casual gene for familial thoracic aortic aneurysms. She is currently a postdoctoral research fellow in the lab of Dr. Rajat Gupta in the Divisions of Cardiovascular Medicine and Genetics, where her project focuses on functional validation of noncoding variants associated with coronary artery disease.
