Mentor: Dr. Mark W. Feinberg

Vinay Randhawa obtained his PhD in Science (Bioinformatics and Computational Biology) from the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research, India in 2016. His thesis work focused on the development of computational data analysis pipelines/methods for understanding the complex human diseases from the biological network perspective. Vinay particularly focused on implementing network and machine-learning-based approaches to identify potential molecular regulators/targets in oral cancer. Vinay was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at CSIR-IMTECH (2017-2019) and Panjab University (2020-2021), India.
Vinay joined the research group of Dr. Mark W. Feinberg as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in November 2021. Vinay’s projects involve the identification and understanding the roles of long non-coding RNAs in atherosclerosis and myocardial infarction using a combination of network biology, machine-learning algorithms, and bioinformatics.
