ISCHEMIA Trial: Background, Results and Implications for Management of Patients with Stable lschemic Heart Disease.
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:
- Identify the previous uncertainties concerning revascularization vs medical therapy for patients with stable coronary disease and myocardial ischemia;
- Understand the results of the ISCHEMIA trial;
- Understand the implications of the trial concerning mechanical revascularization of the ischemia producing luminal obstruction vs pharmacologically treating the entire length of the coronary plaque
